St. Joseph
O Saint Joseph, Guardian of Jesus, most pure Spouse of Mary, who spent your life in the perfect fulfilment of your duties, providing for the Holy Family of Nazareth with your work, protect us who trustfully turn to you. You know our wishes, our worries and our hopes, we turn to you because we confide in your protection. You too have experienced trials, hard work and fatigue, but your soul, full of peace, was filled with joy for your intimacy with the Son of God, entrusted to you, and with Mary, His most sweet Mother. Help us to understand that we are not working alone, to learn how to discover Jesus near to us, to welcome him with the help of grace and to keep him faithfully as you did.
Grant also that in every family, wherever a Christian may be working, all may be made holy in charity, patience and justice, and in seeking what is good. Pope John XXIII
